As specialists in heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology (HVAC), we carry out functional tests on systems of all sizes. We attach great importance to a comprehensive analysis of energy efficiency, control function, system dimensioning, room conditions and comfort. In order to do this, we can choose from a range of different on-site methods, e.g. mist tests, measurement of volume flow and pressure losses, as well as acoustics, sound pressure and reverberation time.
In addition, we offer long-term technical monitoring using wireless sensors to closely monitor usable areas and evaluate the control quality. We use reliable but cost-effective radio measurement technology to monitor buildings and systems for up to 2 years.
As resources become increasingly scarce, systems today must be controlled much more precisely according to the needs of their users. And they should be regulated as automatically as possible when no users are present.
We can determine whether - or how well - this works by means of technical monitoring. This involves closely monitoring the system behavior and room conditions in functional areas and evaluating them in terms of control quality and energy efficiency.
We use reliable but cost-effective wireless measurement technology to closely monitor buildings and systems for up to 2 years. As our sensors do not require an external power supply, we can record air conditions not only at the facilities, but also in the working areas. On request, occupancy levels can also be recorded anonymously in order to obtain a detailed picture of the conditions on site.
In addition to the system conditions, energy data can also be generated or energy meters can be connected to use the data as part of energy management in accordance with ISO 50000. We would be happy to support you with the design and implementation.
For stationary exhaust air stacks, compliance with the limit values in accordance with the official regulations must be verified. Depending on the type of operation and chimney diameter, suitable measuring methods must be used for verification. If the measuring system fails, this can lead to the temporary shutdown of the connected operating facilities, depending on the application. It must be demonstrated in advance of the installation that the conditions at the measuring section meet the minimum requirements.
The I.F.I. advises you on the design of suitable measuring systems and carries out measuring section calibration and acceptance measurements on request. Flow simulations can also be used to support planning and approval.
