Natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilators

Based on its accreditation by the national accreditation body of Germany (DAkkS) and notification by the Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (DIBt), I.F.I. is authorized to test and certify products in the field of natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilation in accordance with European standards. This involves natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilators or NSHEV such as facade NSHEV, louvered NSHEV, NSHEV in continuous rooflights or skylight domes.

We offer individual tests of the constancy of performance as well as the entire testing and certification process, right through to the authorization to provide the products with a CE mark.

I.F.I. is accredited testing laboratory D-PL-17774-01-00 for testing natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilators (NSHEV). Our test center carries out the following tests of NSHEV in compliance with EN 12101-2:2003:

determination of the aerodynamic free area pursuant to Annex B
functional reliability pursuant to Annex C
performance under load in accordance with Annex D
test under wind load in accordance with Annex F

Furthermore we cooperate with partner inspection bodies to offer:

functional tests at low ambient temperature according to Annex E;
Testing under the own direction of I.F.I. in cooperation with partners is also possible. Feel free to contact us for any questions on this subject.

I.F.I. is DAkkS accredited certification body D-ZE-17774-01-00 and DIBt notified product certification body no. 1368 in compliance with the Construction Products Regulation CPR (EU) No. 305/2011. As such, we are authorized to carry out "independent third party activities for the assessment and verification of constancy of performance" of smoke and heat exhaust ventilators pursuant to EN 12101-2:2003 under system 1, which entitle the device to CE marking.

We are listed with the EU Commission (here) as Notified Body under the identification number 1368.
