Although our website presents a large portfolio of our testing services in the field of industrial aerodynamics, it is far from covering all of our clients' individual issues.
We are happy to use our know-how, our project experience, our test facilities and our measuring equipment to work on your project-specific challenges in direct exchange with you.
Here are just a few examples of our individual tests:
Our test procedures allow flow monitors to be subjected to a flow test under cyclic load. On the one hand, we test the function of the flow monitor at the minimum flow velocity specified by the manufacturer and, on the other hand, the load capacity of the flow monitor under a permanent cyclic load.
The number of switching cycles tested can be based on the requirements of DIN EN IEC 60076-22-1 section 7.5.3.3.3 [1].
The pressure loss coefficient of a smoke control damper depends essentially on the geometry of the damper, the installation position, the opening angle and the geometric dimensions of the connected smoke extraction shaft. The interdependencies and the resulting pressure loss coefficients can be determined experimentally at the I.F.I.
Blower door tests are used in the construction of new buildings to detect and seal air leaks in the building shell. The basis for this are the local Building Energy Acts, which prescribes the minimization of heat transfer to the outside. For this purpose, an affected part of the building is sealed and a negative or positive pressure is generated in the doorways using fans. The air volume flows are then measured and provide an indication of possible leaks.
The I.F.I. supports its customers with appropriate measurements and has the necessary equipment for this.
With the help of tracer gases, we can determine the ventilation of special duct systems (such as in a specific special case of a grease separation system) and provide information on how to improve them. With these tests, we help our clients from industry to gain more influence on the concentration of gases in the systems.
