I.F.I. is much more than an engineering company.
Of course, I.F.I. is a service provider and our services mainly consist of test reports, certificates, calculations and consultations. In many cases however, these services would not be possible without the expertise and commitment of our technical staff and workshop employees.
Whether for wind load tests on buildings or PV systems or for testing NSHEV in accordance with EN 12101-2, scaled models of the tested objects are necessary. We are proud to have crafstmen and craftswomen to create such models, because it is customized manual work.
Our head of workshop Johannes Krugmann completed his training as a master carpenter last year and was awarded with the first prize from the Sparkasse bank on 26 May 2024. To mark this occasion, the local newspaper Aachener Zeitung spoke to him about his job and the importance of making models for industrial aerodynamics.
